Lyrics:

Where you going what you thinking

All your questions got me sinking

Always trusting watch you breaking

All your promise I’m still waiting

I was captive no escaping

You were cold and manipulating

Live today forget tomorrow

One to lead and one to follow

But time can cure us all and I found my time

I swear I’ll never fall back to the days when you were mine

I followed wherever you led but I’m older now

Mesmerised by all the things that you said but I’ve learned my lesson well

So take it how you will I’ve had my fill

I’m not stepping back in time to the days when you were mine

Cause they’

Well I've quickly become a huge Chris fan. I love all your stuff but this one really sticks out for me. May fav so far(but not by much ;-).

Beautiful chord progression and a lovely build. Your voice shines in this piece. All the instruments are placed perfectly and the production is top notch. Excellent work my friend, deserves to be in my favorites !!!

Hi Chris! I always dig you're music style as it's very classy and this one is right there! The recording and performances are excellent. Perfect vocal harmonies and the backing vox are in just the right spots. Nice writing, great lead vox phrasing, and the upfront vocals work better than the 80's/90's style!

I was really partial to the piano & guitar melodies. Bruce Hornsby-esque, i thought (compliment, by the way. lol). There's a great mood to this song. Everyone here seems to agree that the vocals are fantastic and must agree. Good stuff, sir. My one tiny complaint was the hi-hat EQ but i'm picky and accepting (i'm an audio engineer, its a thing. lol). This song just sounds great. I'll be stopping by again, sir.

Like that biting guitar at the start for a bit. Fine vocals Chris, with a pensive mood you put alot of expression in this tune; fine lyrics,a well written piece, I think I can relate the "days when you were mine" (for me it relates to a lady I no longer have). Life moves on. Fine arrangement. Always a fine keyboard work surrounding you. Like the build up--excellent percussion.Good guitar playing also. Great production.
Great tune Chris. Thanks for the pleasure.
-Vesa.
